Conventional cabling relies on point-to-point connections. Each cable was run directly to wherever it was needed. The result is cable congestion, tangled pathways, and a system that is difficult to maintain, trace, or expand. It also looks fine from outside the cabinet, which is why businesses do not know which one they have.

Faulty connections and poorly terminated cables are among the most common causes of intermittent network errors. What is structured cabling, in plain terms?
An organized system instead of a pile of cables. Runs go from a central point through labeled pathways to patch panels, so every connection is traceable and changes take minutes. The alternative is point-to-point cabling, where each cable was run directly wherever it was needed by whoever needed it, and that works beautifully until the day you have to find one.
Does it really matter if the cabling is messy?
Yes, in two ways that cost you money. Faulty connections and poorly terminated cables are among the most common causes of intermittent network errors, which are the hardest kind to diagnose and the easiest to blame on your internet provider for months. And congested cabinets restrict airflow, which runs equipment hot and quietly shortens the life of hardware you already paid for.
Cat6 or Cat6A? We do not know what we need.
You do not need to, and that is our job rather than yours. It depends on distances, what the runs will carry, and how long you intend the installation to last. We specify it as part of the design and explain the trade-off to you in cost terms rather than technical ones.
Do we need fiber?
Sometimes. Fiber earns its cost over long distances, between buildings, and in electrically noisy environments like a plant floor. Inside a normal office footprint copper is usually the right answer, and recommending fiber there would be spending your money for the sake of it.
Can you work around our operating hours?
Yes, and for El Paso warehouses and plants that is normally how it happens. We stage the work so no area loses connectivity for a full working day, and we tell you up front which parts will be disruptive rather than discovering it together on the morning.
What do we get at the end?
