What IT support costs in El Paso
TechBit Solutions prices ongoing services as one flat monthly rate covering everything in the agreement, and quotes project work separately at a fixed scope.
How our pricing works
Two models, and which one applies depends on whether the work ever ends.
Ongoing services are billed as one flat monthly rate. That covers managed IT, monitoring, security, help desk support for your staff, and whatever else sits in your agreement. The figure depends on how many users and devices you have and which services you want, and it does not change because a month went badly.
Project work is quoted per project at a fixed scope: cabling a building, installing a phone system, a security assessment, a move. You get a written scope and a number before anything starts.
What the flat monthly rate covers
- Round-the-clock monitoring of the systems under management
- Patching, updates, and scheduled maintenance
- Tier 1 through tier 3 help desk support for your staff
- Security monitoring and threat protection on managed devices
- Backup monitoring and recovery testing
- Vendor coordination, so your team is not chasing carriers and software companies
- After-hours access for genuine emergencies
Details of what each of those means in practice are on the managed IT services page.
What falls outside it
Stated plainly, because this is where unpleasant surprises live with other providers. Outside the monthly rate: new hardware and software licenses, structured cabling and physical installation, major projects such as a server replacement or an office move, and specialist engagements like a full security assessment. Each is quoted separately, in writing, before the work happens.
Our Cyber Security Risk Analysis is an example of a scoped engagement rather than a monthly service. It is quoted on company size and scope, like any other project.
The reason projects are quoted rather than listed is the same reason the monthly rate is: the honest number depends on the building, the headcount, and the state of what is already there. What we will commit to is that the quote is fixed before work starts, so the figure you agree to is the figure you pay.
How a quote gets built
- A conversation about your business, your staff count, and what is causing you trouble.
- An assessment of what you actually run. Quoting a monthly rate without looking is guesswork, and guesses get corrected upward later.
- A written proposal: the monthly figure, what it includes, and what it excludes.
- A conversation about the proposal, where asking what is not covered is encouraged.
- A service agreement with the term and the exit conditions stated in it.
Getting a number
Call (915) 629-8888. Have a rough count of staff and computers to hand and we can give you a range on the phone, then a firm figure after the assessment. Response time is part of what you are buying: help starts in minutes rather than hours, on a line answered by a person 5:00am to 8:00pm Mountain Time, with after-hours cover on (915) 253-9757.
There is no form to fill in and no quote request to submit. What each service covers is on our services, and the detail for the largest of them is on managed IT services.
Questions we get asked
Why will you not just put a price on the website?
Because the honest number depends on how many people and devices you have, what shape they are in, and which services you want. A single advertised price would be wrong for almost everyone reading it, and the providers who publish one usually attach conditions that change it anyway. What we can promise is that the number we quote is the number you pay each month.
What does flat rate actually mean?
It means the monthly figure does not move because the month was bad. A ransomware scare, a server that misbehaves, or a week of unusually heavy support calls do not generate an extra invoice. Work outside the agreement, such as new hardware or cabling a new building, is quoted separately and agreed before it happens.
Is it cheaper than paying per visit?
Over a year, for most businesses, yes, though that is not the main reason to do it. Per-visit billing means you only spend money once something is already broken, so you are paying for downtime as well as repair. The bigger saving is the outages that never happen.
Are we locked into a long contract?
Terms are set out in the service agreement before you sign, including length and what happens if you leave. Ask about it directly in the first conversation and we will give you a straight answer rather than burying it.
What if we only need one thing?
Then you pay for one thing. Cabling, a phone system, or an assessment can all be bought on their own as project work. The monthly model applies to services that run continuously.
How do we know the quote is not padded?
Compare it. Ask us and one or two other El Paso providers, and ask each what is excluded rather than what is included, because that is where quotes actually differ. We are happy to be checked.
