Managed IT services for El Paso businesses

TechBit Solutions manages the workstations, servers, cloud accounts, and connectivity that El Paso businesses run on, monitored around the clock for one flat monthly rate.

What this covers

Managed IT means TechBit Solutions takes responsibility for your technology as a whole rather than being called in per problem. We monitor it, maintain it, patch it, and fix it, and you pay the same amount each month whether the month was quiet or terrible.

What sits under management:

Related work often bundled with it: cloud and Microsoft 365, backup and disaster recovery, database administration, and cybersecurity.

Who it is for

The businesses we fit best have somewhere between a handful and a few hundred staff, no internal IT team or one person carrying it alone, and enough dependence on their systems that a day of downtime costs real money. Trucking companies, clinics, manufacturers, professional offices, and distributors all land here.

If you have a full IT department and want extra hands on a project, IT consulting is the better fit. If you are one person with a laptop, managed IT is more than you need.

The problem it solves

The pattern is familiar. Something breaks, someone calls whoever helped last time, that person is booked for two days, and in the meantime staff work around it. An invoice arrives that nobody can predict. Nothing gets documented, so the next failure starts from zero. Meanwhile the things that quietly prevent outages — patches, backups tested, warranties tracked, aging hardware replaced before it dies — never happen, because nobody is responsible for them.

Managed IT inverts that. The routine work happens on a schedule whether or not anyone notices, and the cost is a line item you can budget.

What is included

Monitoring and maintenance

Systems are watched 24/7. Patches, updates, and health checks run on a schedule, and alerts reach us rather than you.

Help desk

Tier 1 through tier 3 support staffed by people, not a queue that routes you back to a form. Your staff contact us directly.

Security

Protection and monitoring against malware, ransomware, and zero-day exploits, coordinated with whatever security work sits alongside it.

Backup and recovery

Backups configured, monitored, and recoverable — the last part being the one most businesses discover too late.

Vendor coordination

We work across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Dell Technologies, Cisco, and Lenovo, and we deal with your carriers and software vendors so your staff do not have to explain the problem three times.

Response measured in minutes

This is the part worth comparing between providers. When your staff call, help starts in minutes — not hours, not the next business day, not a ticket that sits in a queue until someone gets to it. A person picks up and work begins on the problem.

How long a fix takes still depends on what broke; a failed drive is not a five-minute job. What we commit to is that nobody waits to be acknowledged, and that the clock on the actual work starts immediately rather than after a triage delay.

The main line runs Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 8:00pm Mountain Time. Outside those hours, after-hours support on (915) 253-9757 is answered by a person, not a voicemail box.

How it works

  1. A conversation. What you run, what breaks, what it costs you when it does.
  2. An assessment. We inventory what is actually there, which is usually not what the last provider documented.
  3. A quote. One monthly figure, with what it covers and what it does not stated plainly.
  4. Onboarding. Monitoring goes on, gaps get closed, and we document your environment.
  5. Ongoing. Your staff call us when something is wrong. Everything else happens without you thinking about it.

Getting started

The first step is a conversation, not a proposal. Call (915) 629-8888 and describe what is going wrong; we will tell you honestly whether managed IT is the answer or whether you have a single fixable problem. If it is worth quoting, the assessment comes before any number, because a monthly rate quoted without looking at your environment is a guess.

Common questions

How fast do you actually respond?

In minutes. Your staff call, a person picks up and starts work — not hours later, not the next business day, and not once a ticket has worked its way up a queue. How long the repair itself takes depends on the fault, but the wait to be heard is measured in minutes, and that is the number most providers will not put in writing.

What does the flat monthly rate include?

Monitoring, maintenance, patching, help desk support for your staff, and the security and backup services in your agreement. The rate depends on how many users and devices you have. What falls outside it, such as new hardware, major projects or cabling a new building, is quoted separately and told to you up front rather than appearing on an invoice.

How is this different from calling someone when something breaks?

Break-fix pays for repairs after the damage is done. Managed IT pays for the work that prevents them, which is why the spikes in your bill stop. It also means somebody already knows your environment on the day something does go wrong.

Do you support staff who work from home?

Yes. Remote and hybrid staff are managed exactly like anyone sitting in the office, along with the cloud and Microsoft 365 accounts they depend on.

Can you work with the equipment and software we already have?

Usually, yes. We manage across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Dell, Cisco and Lenovo environments. If something in your setup is genuinely past the point of being worth supporting, we will tell you and price the replacement rather than quietly billing around it year after year.

How much of El Paso do you cover?

All of it. We work from four staffed offices across El Paso and go on site anywhere in the city.

We cover businesses within about 100 miles of El Paso, including the Texas valley communities and southern New Mexico. The full list is on the about page.
